- Key Takeaway: Matt Mills and the No. 42 team fought hard at North Wilkesboro, but weren't able to get the finish they had hoped for. Mills started the 250-lap race in 16th, but slid back early. After taking the wave-around, the team got back onto the lead lap in the middle of the race, but lacked track position to go forward. Mills crossed the finish line in 25th-place.
- Matt Mills' Post-Race Thoughts:
“That was a long day. I felt like our longer-run speed was the strongest thing we had on our J.F. Electric Chevy. We just kind of gave up too much on restarts in the middle portion of the run and ultimately lost track position. We got way too far behind and couldn’t make up the lap that we went down. I felt like at times we showed speed, but it just wasn’t consistent enough to keep up in the mix today. My Rini (cool shirt) went out early which made for a tough day, but we’ll move on to Charlotte.”
