- Key Takeaway: Kaden Honeycutt and the No. 45 team overcame mid-race setbacks to score their sixth top-10 finish of the season at North Wilkesboro. Honeycutt started ninth, but lost some spots in the opening two stages and did not gain any points in the process. Late in the race, a costly pit road penalty forced Honeycutt to start in the rear, but the team clawed their way back. Once the checkered flag flew, the team finished in eighth-place.
- Kaden Honeycutt's Post-Race Thoughts:
“I’m pretty disappointed with how today went, and in myself, too. I felt like we were okay. We got trapped behind slower trucks in the beginning just because of where we started based on the metric. Just had to make up spots in the first stage and throw some pretty good changes at it to get more drivability. I felt like we did that in the last stop, which was really good. The restart line didn’t go at the start of the second stage, and we just got messed up. Once we put on tires, we got all the way up to the top-10 before I sped. I had a really bad restart which led to an eighth-place finish, but probably should have been the top-five. It’s disappointing, but we’ll just move on and try to win Charlotte. Huge thanks to all of our partners for the support. It’s a top-10, but we want to do better for sure.”
